Vanderburg & Associates is committed to supporting the diverse creative voices within the arts community. We approach the creative process by centering both the artist and the audience their art is meant to engage. We guide our clients to develop business practices that promote diversity and equity, ensuring that their audience is well defined and considering not just what they want to create but who they are creating it for, who they are creating it with, and what barriers there are to that audience engaging with the art.
Vanderburg & Associates works with its clients to execute visions that serve and reflect their richly varied communities. We embrace consistent support to hold ourselves and our clients accountable on any actions, intentional or not, that reinforce racism, discrimination, or oppression. We establish clear measurements of diversity for our client roster and any projects with regular evaluations against those measurements on regular schedules. We dedicate time and follow clear actions to expand the networks of the company and client organizations to avoid default choices to currently privileged circles of artists.
Vanderburg & Associates proactively seeks to serve a diverse roster of clients and is dedicated to supporting careers and projects that are in alignment with the cultural viewpoint of each client. We prioritize the company’s resources to create opportunities for artists who historically and currently have fewer opportunities due to systemic discrimination.
